Clark shoes are good shoes in my opinion. I wear these shoes every day, all day because of the tie up value of support. They look fine with jeans or black slacks with work attire. Not fancy, but neither is an aching back. I use a custom arch support (orthotic) in them and they fit fine.. my heal doesn't pop out so the shoe and the arch support go well together. I don't know if it's my 'getting older' feet or if they are a little narrow but the wider size feels better. I'd recommend them.
